Commitment to Community

Garden City Community Services

Continuing the tradition of community service, Garden City Hospital takes pride in participating in the surrounding community, both through healthcare services and community outreach efforts. We have sustained a 60-year commitment to provide programs, events, services, and be a trusted source for education.

Disaster Preparedness - Our hospital has a comprehensive disaster preparedness plan to enable the staff to handle any type of emergency. We work with Wayne County Region 2 South Healthcare Coalition.

Emergency Services - Our hospital provides comprehensive Emergency Medical Services, 24-hours a day, seven days a week and is a paramedic receiving station.

Blood Drives - Our hospital is a leader in the community and sponsors the American Red Cross four times per year for a community-wide blood drive. The blood drives are held in the Allan Breakie Medical Office Building (on the main campus), lower level classrooms. Times may vary.

See our calendar of events for upcoming blood drive dates and times.

Community Assistance Pricing (CAP) - At Garden City Hospital, we don’t want you to sacrifice your wellness because you are worried about the bills. That’s why we developed a reduced pricing program for those who do not have insurance.
