Education and Training

Core lectures series
Daily lectures at 7:15 am and 12:00 noon. Presenters include attending physicians, residents, and interns, as well as guest speakers from GCH departments or outside sources.

Specialty didactics
Regularly scheduled conferences for residents; interns and students are expected to attend while on that service and welcomed at any time. Formats include journal club, case reviews, formal lectures, etc.

Lunch and Learn
Multidisciplinary lectures offered in the GCH Auditorium, typically on a monthly basis. Open to students and house staff.

SCS Educational Days
As a member of the Statewide Campus System – Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, GCH house staff attend Education Days off-campus or via ITV. For a schedule of SCS events, click here.

OMT Workshops
Interns and students participating in an OMT workshop led by Dr. Sherm Gorbis from MSUCOM.

Simulation Lab
First year residents are oriented to various procedures during their first week of training.
