Join in on the journey to better health with Passport to Good Health. This initiative is a combined effort between Garden City Hospital and the City of Westland to encourage better health and wellness in the community.

How Passport to Good Health Works

Passport to Good Health consists of six fun, easily achievable challenges. From fitness challenges, healthy eating, mindfulness and giving back to others, Passport to Good Health encompasses all areas of health. See below for a full schedule of dates and challenges. To participate, complete each month's challenge, give yourself a check mark and submit either through the form below or pick up and turn in a hard copy at any Garden City Hospital location or Westland City Hall. Turn in your completed passport pages and be entered to win a special, health-themed prize!

Each new year brings opportunity and motivation for a fresh start. Setting goals can be a good way to guide you towards becoming a healthier you, but you don't have to completely transform yourself to achieve them. Start small, be specific, create a plan of action and always remember why you set your goals to begin with. This Passport to Good Health challenge is about setting achievable resolutions for a healthier year. What are your top three health resolutions for this year? Schedule of Challenges

January-February "A healthier you" - Set three health resolutions for the year.

March-April "Fitness first" - Exercise for 150 minutes per week.

May-June "Eat local" - Try one food that is locally sourced.

July-August "Park and play" - Visit one of your local parks.

September-October "Unplug" - Go screen-free for one hour per day.

November "30 days of gratitude" - One thing you're grateful for each day.

December "Give a gift" - Donate to a special cause.
