Stay Active

Make sure you dedicate some time each day to staying active. In situations where a person has an office job, a majority of the time is spent sitting down at a computer. This means they may not be getting the activity that their body needs. Spend at least 150 minutes per week of moderate to vigorous activity to maintain a healthy body; and at least 300 minutes per week for weight loss.

Exercise

Stay energized with varied activities. Try walking, stretching, weight lifting and body weight exercises. Take a walk after dinner, do squats next to your desk, or focused stretching before bed. Adding variety will keep you motivated and interested.

Rest

Exercise and vigorous activity can take a toll on the body; making it more difficult to consistently exercise and keep weight off. Instead, know when to take breaks to avoid injuries and plateaus. Allow 48 hours of rest when exercising vigorously. Choose stretching, walking or low impact activities on rest days to achieve maximum results.
