The Respiratory/Pulmonary Department at Garden City Hospital provides a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Respiratory Therapists work in a collaborative environment with physicians, nurses, and other members of the health care team to develop care plans, manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, perform chest physiotherapy, CPR, hyperinflation and percussive therapy, deliver oxygen, aerosol, and medication nebulization, and obtain and analyze arterial blood gases.

Pulmonary Function offers a wide range of testing including spirometry, carbon dioxide diffusing capacity, plethysmography, cardio-pulmonary exercise testing, indirect calorimetry, arterial blood gasses, and methylcholine inhalation challenge.

Our goal is to deliver effective and compassionate care that contributes to the total well-being of our patients.  We are available 24/7 to provide care in all settings from the ICU to outpatient treatment.
