The Garden City Hospital Center for Sports and Rehabilitation at the Specialty Centers of Westland caters to athletes and active individuals of all ages and ability. Our patients span the spectrum of professional, collegiate, and high school competitors as well as patients with active lifestyles. The Center for Sports and Rehabilitation is dedicated to offering a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to the prevention and treatment of injuries in active individuals.

Caring for YouWe are committed to making your visit as comfortable as possible. The Center for Sports and Rehabilitation emphasizes injury prevention, specialized rehabilitative strategies, and state-of-the-art surgical techniques to treat injuries of the shoulder, elbow, and knee. Our comprehensive sports medicine team includes fellowship-trained, primary care sports medicine physicians, athletic trainers and physical therapists.

Services Offered

The Center for Sports and Rehabilitation provides a wide range of services, including:

  • Aquatic Therapy
  • Physical Therapy (PT): physical therapy for acute injuries, strains, sprains, joint replacement, arthritis, back & neck pain, and neurological affliction
  • Occupational Therapy (OT): includes training in activities of daily living with or without assistive devices, Neurological Development Training (NDT), manual therapy, specialized splinting and modalities
