Residency Overview

Garden City Hospital offers an excellent community hospital based training experience in adult neurology. GCH is an accredited Stroke Center and is affiliated with the Michigan Stroke Network.

The Neurology Residency is a four-year program inclusive of the OGME1-R year. Training centers around an active consult service at Garden City Hospital, with ambulatory care rotations at the Michigan Institute for Neurological Disorders (MIND) and specialized rotations at other affiliated sites.

Program Director:
Anne Pawlak, DO, FACN
Dr. Pawlak is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship here at Garden City Hospital and residency in Neurology at Botsford General Hospital, including training in EEG and EMG at Harper Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Pawlak is board certified in Neurology by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, and is a Fellow of the American College of Neurology. She is a five-time recipient of the Intern Trainer of the Year at Garden City Hospital. Dr. Pawlak has served on numerous national committees, is a Past Chief of Staff, and is a current member of the Garden City Hospital Board of Trustees. In addition, Dr. Pawlak is the Medical Director of the GCH Stroke Center.
