Garden City Hospital’s (GCH) medical staff is growing. Now with more than 360 physicians in 47 specialties able to serve the community, GCH has become a leader in providing quality healthcare and service to patients, visitors and staff. Garden City Hospital is pleased to welcome the following new Medical Staff members, which has supplemented the realm of services available to the public: 

Krassimir Denchev, M.D., Anesthesia
Dr. Denchev graduated from Medical University of Sofia in Bulgaria and completed his fellowship program at the University of Michigan in 2009.

· Mahir Elder, M.D., Interventional Cardiology
Dr. Elder specializes in interventional cardiology, including endovascular-carotid and peripheral interventions. He has been involved with many cardiovascular-related clinical trials and research programs.

· Rachel Kado, M.D., Pediatrics/Allergy Immunology
Dr. Kado graduated from the Wayne State University Medical School in 2006, and completed her residency at the Cleveland Clinic in 2009.

· Tamam Mohamad, M.D., Interventional Cardiology
Dr. Mohamad is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular and vascular interpretation, and nuclear cardiology. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University’s School of Medicine.

· Gireesh Velugubanti, M.D., Pediatric Neurology
For the past nine years Dr. Velugubanti has been practicing pediatric neurology, adolescent and pediatric psychiatry, and pediatrics in the Detroit area.
