Physicians Receive National Recognition

At the American College of Osteopathic Internists (ACOI) 2011 Annual Convention and Scientific Sessions, the following GCH physicians were recognized:
Zachary Lemon, D.O. was inducted into the Collegium of Fellows. Among some of the requirements to be considered for this distinction includes documentation of continuing professional activities, hospital committee work, research, participation as both teacher and student in continuing medical education activities, and service to the public and community.
William Nazzaro, D.O. received the Resident Humanism and Teaching Award. Established in 2005 by the ACOI, this award is to be presented annually to Osteopathic Internal Medicine residents in recognition of outstanding compassion in the delivery of care, respect for patients, their families, and healthcare colleagues, as well as demonstrated excellence in clinical teaching.
